Musical Memories is an interactive immersive musical show exploring the relationship of two friends from their childhood to older age.

It includes drama, dance and music as well as film and familiar artefacts to stimulate the senses and provoke reminiscence and joy.

Stand Up! Speak Out!

This term, Writers Room, Big Noise Choir and Youth Forum have all been creating work inspired by the Joyce Butler Exhibition at Bruce Castle Museum. Writers Room have been working in-depth all term to look at items from the Joyce Butler archive and write a variety of responses, such as poetry and letters to our local politicians.

Join us for this special performance where Writers Room will be performing excerpts of their work alongside Big Noise Choir who have been looking at protest songs and have written a brand-new protest song for today inspired by the Co-operative Party Songbook in the archive.

Delighted to have been working alongside Chlo and team from Bruce Castle Museum, Mansfield College University of Oxford, Arts & Humanities Research Council and Haringey Council.

Every second of every day, a new journey begins…

Devised and performed by DDM. DDM is Face Front’s performing arts group for young people to begin to experience Drama, Dance and Music. Young people attend for between 18 – 24 months and then they are encouraged to move on to integrated or mainstream arts activities.

Hopes – A film by Ghyama Arts

For this project Ghyama Arts worked in collaboration with practitioners from Half Moon Young People’s Theatre. Their goal was to create a performance for the Tower Hamlets Season of Bangla Drama focusing on their hopes. This performance was very personal for the participants as they spent a long time reflecting on themselves and their hopes. they developed their own acting and storytelling skills, thinking about exploring the ways they could use sensory elements in the performance.

Ghyama Arts (Awesome Arts!) provides high quality arts activities in theatre, film and circus to increase confidence and independence for disabled adults who attend the day service provision of The Bangladeshi Parents and Carers Association (BPCA) in Tower Hamlets and Newham.

Bollywood Film by Ghyama Arts

Over12 weeks Ghyama Arts participants worked closely with practitioners from Chocolate Films to create their very own Bollywood movie. All the music in this film was created by the participants along with choreographed dances. Everyone developed their characters, focusing on the different emotions they would feel and how they would show these emotions.

Finding Your Pathway: Adventures Around the World

Hackney Shed and Hoxton Hall are delivering an action-packed week in August!

Join professional directors, designers and musicians to create an original play performed live in the iconic Hoxton Hall!

Together, we’ll explore characters finding their path in the world, while also introducing participants to real pathways into the performing arts industry.

This project is especially focused on engaging young people with SEND and neurodivergent young people, but it’s open to anyone passionate about collaboration, creativity and performance.

If you’d like to find out more or get involved, please head to the website and complete the registration form.

You can register up until 18 August, but spaces are limited, so it’s best to book early!

Reheated, relocated and retold by InterACTion Theatre Group – this intergenerational community production draws inspiration from Miguel De Cervantes’ famous tale ‘Don Quixote’ which celebrates the lives of those we have lost, and reflects on our own legacies.

Thursday 24th July at 2pm and 7pm @ Dugdale Arts Centre Enfield

The Legacy of Le’Gassy Manor

It’s summer in the village of Gassy End and for all the villagers this can only mean one thing – the annual Gassy End Summer Fete. This year however, there is to be an addition to the usual proceedings… The old ‘Le Gassy Manor’ house is to be auctioned! Although the house has stood empty for nearly 40 years, it has never ceased to be full of mystery. Devised & performed by Broken Silence.

Broken Silence is Face Front’s flagship community group of disabled adult participants.
